Show the complete label
Photograph the whole label square-on, in focus and with enough light to read the small text. Avoid reflections, clipped edges and a screenshot that removes the surrounding identifiers. If there is more than one label, send each one.
Include any manufacturer, part, hardware or software references printed on the unit. Not every label contains the same information. A diagnostic identification report can add useful detail when the unit still communicates.
Identify original and replacement clearly
For a donor enquiry, send separate pictures marked ORIGINAL and REPLACEMENT. State whether the donor is already owned or is a part you are considering buying. Include the seller’s application information if available.
A photograph of only one unit cannot establish the pair. If the original is missing, already with another specialist or cannot communicate, explain that at the start rather than leaving the data availability uncertain.
Add the vehicle and the reason for the job
Send the registration, engine, model year, transmission and postcode. Describe the failure or goal and attach the full fault report where available. Tell us about earlier repairs or programming.
A part number on its own does not describe whether you need repair, calibration, recovery or replacement-data work. The practical route and quote depend on that context as well as the controller identification.
Send the images privately with the enquiry
Use WhatsApp or email to attach the images to the prepared enquiry. Keep the registration and contact details with the message so the photographs can be associated with the correct job. You can also use the established Precision Remaps UK online contact form.
Northern Calibration enquiries go to admin@precisionremapsuk.com. Ask for suitability, scope and availability before purchasing a donor or arranging dispatch. If a label is unreadable, tell us and include the clearest available identification report.
