Protected or interrupted.
A considered access route.
Specialist access, software restoration and failed-programming assessment using supported OBD, bench, boot and Flex with Korhex workflows.
Identify the route before the repair.
Identify the exact controller
ECU family, processor, hardware, software and the intended operation determine access. An ECU that can be tuned is not automatically cloneable.
Select the supported procedure
We use the appropriate available route, including Flex and Korhex on compatible applications. Unlocking, full-memory work and calibration can require different methods.
Recover with the evidence available
For an interrupted flash, send the original backup, tool logs and details of what was written. We assess accessibility and the suitability of the recovery data before proceeding.
Is this the right service?
- Controller requiring protected-access programming
- Interrupted or unsuccessful flash
- Incorrect or mismatched software installed
- Original-software restoration enquiry
Make the first message useful.
- ECU label and vehicle specification
- Exact tool, protocol and programming history
- Original files and backups, if available
- Any supplier support advice already received
Know what the job covers.
Recovery is dependent on the controller’s condition and the availability of usable data. We confirm current support before accepting a protected ECU; family names alone are not a promise of access.
What owners ask.
Do you have Flex and Korhex capability?
Supported specialist access is handled through Precision Remaps UK using Flex and Korhex. Compatibility is checked against the exact controller and required operation.
Can you recover a failed remap?
We can assess it. Preserve all files and logs, stop repeated write attempts, and send the controller details and sequence of events.
How long does an unlock take?
Turnaround is confirmed for the specific application before dispatch. Assessment, access method and any additional recovery work can affect the time required.
Evidence, electronic work and vehicle checks.
Understand the agreed assessment or replacement route, then coordinate the required installation work.

New Flex access. All 25 listed variants, protocol requirements and a quote for your actual ECU.
Scope the complete job.
Access is matched to the required operation
Protected calibration, original-data transfer and recovery can need different procedures on the same family. Send the label and say what you need to achieve. Flex, Korhex, Autotuner and KESS3 provide applicable professional workflows, but owning the equipment does not establish support for every controller variant or task.
A failed write needs a clear file history
Keep the initial valid read, supplied calibration, attempted writes and later reads separate. Include the exact tool, protocol, messages and any power or connection event. A virtual-read file may not contain all the original vehicle data. Avoid repeated speculative writes that change the evidence available for assessment.
Define the recovery outcome before work
Original-software restoration, a corrected calibration and preservation of information for replacement are different targets. The accepted scope explains what will be attempted, which parts or files are needed and how it is checked. A successful write does not establish that the vehicle has no remaining faults or configuration requirements.
