State that the car is a hybrid

Include registration, year, exact powertrain and transmission. A similar conventional petrol model is not a complete reference for a plug-in hybrid enquiry. The engine controller and wider vehicle specification need identifying.

Describe the everyday use, battery charging pattern, fuel and goal. Include software history and any faults. The team checks the actual application before discussing performance work.

Keep engine-only and system figures distinct

An engine output figure and a combined hybrid-system figure describe different things. Engine and electric-motor peaks may occur under different operating conditions. Adding independent maximum numbers is not proof of the vehicle’s delivered combined output.

When comparing an estimate or test, state what it represents and how it was obtained. A conventional petrol engine result should not be relabelled as a measured hybrid-system result.

Include battery and operating conditions

Charge state and vehicle operating mode can affect the context of a hybrid comparison. Keep those details with the result and use an appropriate test method. A cropped peak number without the conditions tells an incomplete story.

Any warning, power restriction or changed behaviour requires diagnosis. An engine calibration is not a repair for a battery, electrical or hybrid-control fault. Describe symptoms before choosing performance work.

Prepare a complete tuning enquiry

Send vehicle identity, fuel, gearbox, current software and hardware with the source of any proposed figure. Identify factory ratings, technician estimates and measured results clearly. Include full postcode and service history.

The calculator can compare numbers entered in the same unit and basis, but it cannot model the hybrid powertrain. Ask the team for application-specific support, expectations and verification before booking.

Questions about this enquiry

Can I add engine and motor peak ratings to prove total power?

Independent peaks do not establish delivered combined system output. Use the applicable vehicle rating or appropriate measurement.

Does the calculator model my hybrid system?

No. It only compares the supplied figures. Hybrid support and results require vehicle-specific assessment.
