ECU & TCU support.
Yorkshire & the North East.
Specialist control-unit services for Yorkshire, the North East and the far north of England, without relying on a local branch.
Specialist work for your region.
A postal cloning or recovery job can be a useful route for vehicles already dismantled in Sheffield, Leeds, York, Newcastle or Northumberland. Send the labels and diagnostic information first so we can check whether the work is feasible before units travel.
For long-distance enquiries, agreeing the scope is especially useful: tell us which parts are available, whether any original backup exists, and who will refit the controller. Vehicle-side faults and adaptation may still require work by the installer.

Check the scope before the controller travels.
For Yorkshire, the North East and Northumberland, an accepted postal route can support a vehicle that is already dismantled or being repaired locally. Preserve the original unit and programming records. Resolve which parts and files are required before dispatch so a long-distance enquiry does not become an avoidable second shipment.
Check my regional arrangementsCan a garage in Yorkshire or the North East post both units?
An accepted original-and-donor job can be arranged by post. Send both labels, the scan and return postcode first so suitability, required parts and price can be checked.
What if the original ECU is unavailable?
Say so before buying a donor. A normal original-to-donor clone cannot be assumed, and any alternative supported replacement route needs assessing for the actual application.

How to prepare and pack an ECU or TCU for an accepted postal job
A practical owner checklist for identifying the right parts, protecting electronics and enclosing the information needed for a controller handover.
Read the guideECU backups: which files and records should you keep?
A file called “original” may be a calibration read, a virtual file or a wider backup. Preserve its source and operation so recovery can be assessed.

Assessment time, accepted scope, courier transit and vehicle commissioning all affect when a repair can be completed. Confirm the plan before dispatch.
