Identify the petrol generation

Registration, model year, engine code and factory output help distinguish TSI/TFSI applications. EA888 spans multiple generations and installations. A Golf R, GTI, S3 or Cupra label is useful context, not a complete controller identity.

Provide a real hardware list

Include intake, intercooler, turbo, fuel-system and exhaust changes with exact specifications. Stage 2 and Stage 3 labels are not interchangeable parts packages. The fitted hardware and lawful road-use configuration define the calibration discussion.

Include the DSG or manual drivetrain

Tell us the actual transmission and service history. Existing clutch slip, judder or shift faults need diagnosis first. Supported DSG calibration can be considered with the engine work, with available features checked for the controller.

Match the fuel to the use

Name the petrol grade you regularly use and the driving goal. A fuel-specific target should reflect what the car will actually receive. Explain any running fault or previous map before increasing load.

Keep previous files and results

If the car is already tuned, share the tuner, stage description, access history and any original file or measured result. A revised quotation separates calibration review from recovery or unresolved hardware investigation.
