SIM2K510: a new route for selected CRDi applications
The 30 October 2026 Flex release is relevant to selected Hyundai and Kia diesel controllers. The linked guide contains the full manufacturer-listed variants, access requirements and limitations. Not every 1.6 CRDi or mild-hybrid vehicle uses the same ECU or software.
Build a useful remapping brief
Send the registration, exact engine and transmission, mileage, maintenance history and current software. Describe the driving change you want and any existing warnings. Hardware condition, supported access and a suitable calibration scope are checked before quoting.
Repair, recovery and replacement need different evidence
For a non-start or suspected ECU fault, include the full diagnostic scan and vehicle-side checks. For failed programming, retain the original files and logs. For replacement work, photograph both controller labels and keep the original until the agreed work and final checks are complete.
Keep gearbox and mechatronic work separate
A new engine-ECU protocol does not establish Hyundai or Kia TCU, DCT or mechatronic cloning support. Supply the gearbox identity, both controller labels, mechanical diagnosis and installer details for a separate transmission enquiry.
Hyundai i30, i40, Kona and Tucson; Kia Ceed, Optima, ProCeed, Sportage, Stonic and XCeed feature in the checked SIM2K510 list. Other model enquiries are assessed by ECU identity.
The model list is a starting point. Exact controller and operation support are confirmed individually.
