DME and DDE replacement starts with the original
An original engine controller can contain more than a calibration. We establish the required security and configuration data, identify a suitable donor and check the supported transfer route. Keep the original unit and all available files until the replacement job is agreed.
Modern ECU access is application-specific
Selected BMW and MINI Bosch MD1/MG1 controllers have supported closed-unit bench programming routes. The operation still needs checking: calibration access alone does not confirm cloning. Supply the label, hardware and software information, and say whether the task is tuning, recovery or replacement.
Consider the gearbox alongside the engine
For supported automatic applications, the current engine calibration and transmission condition are part of the enquiry. Tell us about any existing tune, gearbox service history, shift concerns or warning messages so ECU and TCU work can be scoped together.
