Describe the turbo rather than only its label
The words “hybrid turbo” describe a modification category, not a complete specification. Provide the supplier, part identification and available build information. State the original engine and turbo application, the installed control arrangement and any changes the installer made around the replacement.
Do not infer support from a photograph, housing shape or another owner’s headline figure. A project quote needs the actual components and the intended operating goal. An upgraded unit can change the calibration discussion, but its presence does not establish a universal power target or a particular access route.
Include the supporting systems
List intake, charge-air cooling, fuelling, exhaust and sensor changes with exact specifications where available. Tell the team about components retained from the standard vehicle as well as upgrades. A partial list can conceal the limit or mismatch that determines the practical project scope.
Explain fuel grade, normal use and whether the engine or transmission has other internal or service work. The brief must also account for applicable road-use and emissions requirements. A tuning-stage label should not replace the actual installation details or be treated as approval for every parts combination.
Bring the installer’s commissioning findings
State whether the vehicle has run correctly since installation, what checks have been completed and whether faults remain. Keep the full scan, relevant existing logs and the software used for initial operation. Calibration work should not begin from an unexplained mechanical, supply or control-system fault.
Ask which further checks or measurements are needed for acceptance. Depending on the project, the quote may need a workshop route and a more involved verification scope than a standard-hardware appointment. Do not assume that a postcode-quoted mobile remap includes every hardware commissioning task.
Agree a project scope and a realistic next step
The enquiry should distinguish reviewing the existing configuration, supported calibration, additional access and any separate diagnostic or installation work. Ask how revisions, measurements and the final handover will be handled. Acceptance is checked for the specific vehicle and proposed project, rather than promised for every turbo build.
Send registration, postcode, the complete part list, current files and installer findings to Precision Remaps UK through Northern Calibration. Include the driving outcome and gearbox details. The team can then discuss feasibility, required evidence, price and appointment availability before the project proceeds.
Send the information that helps.
- Turbo supplier, part identity and available build specification
- Full supporting-hardware list and retained standard parts
- Fuel, gearbox, service and existing calibration history
- Installer checks, complete scan and unresolved symptoms
- Driving goal, postcode and preferred workshop arrangements
Questions about this enquiry
Can every hybrid-turbo car be booked for a standard mobile remap?
No. The actual hardware, support, health and verification requirements determine whether the project can be accepted and where it should take place.
Does Stage 3 specify a universal parts package?
No. Send the installed specification. Stage names do not establish that a calibration suits every upgraded-turbo configuration.
