Identify the engine and working vehicle
Send registration, engine, output and transmission. Include whether the vehicle is a van, pickup, camper or passenger car and its normal load. A model name alone does not establish the ECU or calibration scope.
Keep access information current
Ford controllers span different OBD and specialist programming routes. Exact support is checked from the ECU and software. Do not rely on an old rule that all examples of a family always need the same unlock or removal procedure.
Describe the practical goal
Explain loaded pulling power, towing, motorway use or petrol response. If performance has recently deteriorated, include the fault history first. For a work vehicle, specify available days and acceptable downtime.
Bring servicing and diagnostic findings
Share mileage, service history, codes and relevant repairs. Boost or aftertreatment warnings need diagnosis. Tell us about existing maps and software updates so the team can identify the actual starting state.
Quote the whole appointment
The team confirms calibration, access, checks, location and any travel or further investigation. Include full postcode and a workshop alternative if possible. Fleet vehicles are identified individually, even when several carry the same model badge.
